You need to get in touch to check the date you want is free or call me on 07881 955525. I will book a free consultation with you to discuss your plans and create a photography package for you. You then make the booking by signing the contract and paying a deposit.
Booking and Fees
Prices start from £210. I have two standard packages, a full day shooting and full day shooting + album but I will put together a package tailored to your wedding and budget. I also offer multiple day and mid-week options.
A typical wedding day will yield between 300-600 images but this will vary depending upon the length of the day, the time of the year, the weather and the number of guests attending. I will produce a mixture of black and white and some colour images. If there are any images you would like also in colour or black and white then I’m happy to supply them for you.
At peak times your online gallery will typically be sent to you in six weeks but it is often less.
While my principle style is documentary photography, I do appreciate that some couples do want some traditional portraits and group photos.
To reduce the amount of disruption to the day I try to organise these quickly and efficiently.
If you would like more formal art style portraits then I am happy to have a second photographer attend to take these while I continue with capturing my documentary style images.
You are under no obligation to buy any additional products. I do think that an album gives you a cherished item to share your memories with. I’ve aways thought that photographs were meant to be printed.
If you do wish to have an album, desk or wall art then I use one of the UKs top album and print makers.
You can still book me but the difference is that your deposit remains refundable until you give me a firm date. I do this because other couples will still be booking me for the period you are interested in.
However, because you have paid a deposit I will let you know about any bookings that are landing in the period you are interested in and give you the opportunity to book that date first. You’ll need to confirm within 3 days of receiving notice of another booking.
If I am available on your new date, then I’ll just change the booking.
If I am not available on the new date then I will see if any other photographers I know are available and put you in touch with them. Your deposit is not refundable.
Normally, no as it is a non-refundable deposit.
The only instances where deposit is refunded are:
- Within 7 days of signing the contract.
- For a tentative booking where no firm date is given the deposit is refundable up until a date is agreed. The moment we agree a date then the deposit becomes non-refundable.
You can pay by bank transfer or by card.
I accept:
Yes I do – happy to go just about anywhere 🙂
Travel and expenses for locations in the UK are covered in my packages. Outside of that will incur reasonable travel costs which will be agreed in writing.
For overseas locations then accommodation and travel fees may apply.
While I prefer to book my own accommodation, some clients choose to provide this as part of their group booking of a hotel.
On the Day
That’s completely up to you and also how the day pans out. We’ll agree a start and finish time; it’s usual to book from the point of getting ready in the morning up until shortly after the first dance. If things run late, I’ll always hang on 🙂
The latest I can stay is until 10pm.
One of the great things about documentary photography is that you don’t have to worry about posing in front of a camera 🙂 The images I take will be natural, candid images during the day and a lot of the time you won’t know I’m there.
Having said that, it’s my job to help you relax in front of the camera! During my time as a photographer I have also covered fashion and events so I’m used to photographing people and making them look good!
You won’t look terrible 🙂 I will photograph you from different angles which may seem unfamiliar as you are used to looking at yourself in a mirror. Just remember others see you from all these different angles and they will think you look great!
General Questions
Normally yes – in fact I like it best if you just treat me as one of the guests. This enables me to melt into the background a bit better and capture the candid images I love to take.
It does also depends on how many guests you have and if you would like images of both of you getting ready in the morning. In this instance we would need to book a second photographer. Also, if you wish to have formal “high-art” portraits then we would need to book a second photographer.
An average is between 40-100 images per hour. A typical, full day produces around 300-500 images but this will vary.
Every wedding has different people, different locations and different lighting conditions so your pictures will be unique. I will apply my skill and experience to capture the best images I can on the day.
I am a documentary photographer which means my style is about taking candid images of the events as they unfold to tell a story of the day.
I specialise in Black and White images so there will be plenty of them in your album and you can have the entire wedding shot in Black and White if you wish.
Yes I have comprehensive public and professional indemnity insurance.
Once paid for, they’re yours to do whatever you want with for personal use. You can’t sell them or use them for business.
After the Wedding
The images will be accessible via a password protected online gallery where there is also the option to buy prints and printed products like wall canvases or framed desk prints.
Allow 4 weeks for post-processing of your images at busy times of the year. I will always get them to you as soon as possible.
At first, images will be shared on an online gallery that is private to the couple. From there images for the album(s) and print(s) can be chosen and any images you don’t want on the gallery to share with family and friends can be removed.
If you want an express service of one or two images within 1 week of the wedding then this option is available for a fee of £50.
I’m also a graphic designer so I design the layout of all of the albums by hand. There are lots of colours and designs to choose from so I will help guide that process.
You then simply pick the images you want from the online gallery of pictures. I then create a PDF proof of the album.
I use perhaps the best album producer in the UK called Loxely Colour. I send the finished design to them and they make the albums by hand and deliver them to an address of your choosing.
